National Walking Month is the perfect way for getting us all onto our feet, away from our desks and out into the fresh air!  Research reveals that as many as 60% of UK workers hardly move from their desks during a typical working day!

 

National Walking Month is the perfect way for getting us all onto our feet, away from our desks and out into the fresh air!  Research reveals that as many as 60% of UK workers hardly move from their desks during a typical working day!

 

Walking is a fantastic way to keep active, maintain a healthy heart and it is also fun, flexible and free. 

 

Therefore to celebrate Walking Month and to keep us all fit and healthy, here at Sentura Group we are running a mini internal walking competition. We have split ourselves into 2 teams (Resellers and Installers) to compete to see which team can walk the most minutes throughout the month of May. We are encouraging everyone to get up from their desks and walk a minimum of 20 minutes a day. A great prize for the winning team is on offer at the end of the month so competition is fierce!

 

Being active helps reduce our risk of major illnesses, such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer by up to 50%. In addition to these amazing health benefits, there are plenty more great reasons to get outside and walk:
